Ivis was such a gift to this world and I'm so grateful to have known him for so many years through his hospice volunteer work. He began it with hesitation, not sure what he had to contribute. When I think of that now, it is incredulous because he grew into that role and was of remarkable service to countless hospice patients and families. He loved to take roses to them when he first met them; he felt that gave him an easy entry point. And he would often deliver roses to staff in the hospice office - you'd find a little vase of sweet and fragrant roses and knew Ivis was sprinkling his magic in the world again. His life was a blessing to me and I will miss him in this world, though I enjoy thinking of him being reunited with his beloved Fay and family. Keeping daughters Fay and Mary and the rest of Ivis' family in my thoughts and prayers.
