Mabel Schroeder Obituary

SCHROEDER, MABEL "MAY MAY" MAYES, 94, died Thursday, April 24, 2014.

She was cafeteria manager for American Tobacco Co., worked at GE and was a volunteer for Fern Creek/Highview United Ministries.

She is the beloved mother of Phyllis Smith (Dennis) and James Gooden (Helen). In addition she is survived by grandchildren, Gary Smith (Sarah), Melissa Dorris (Dan), Gregg Gooden (Tiana) and Debbie Williams (Patrick); and great grandchildren, Tyler and Amanda Dorris, Rebecca and Abigail Gooden and Johnathan and Michael Williams.

Her funeral is 10 a.m. Monday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 12-6 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial gifts: Fern Creek/ Highview United Ministiries or Baptist Health Palliative Care.
