I had the great pleasure of spending time with Maxine 3 days a week through my work and enjoyed every minute with this amazing lady. She was and will continue to be inspirational to me -- as a shining example of determination, life, grace, and kindness. She had an amazing amount of spunk and vigor for a lady of her age and I know she is strolling the sidewalks of heaven right now, without a walker, smiling down on us all. She told me the day before she passed that I was a blessing to her and it meant so much. I told her the same and it is so true. Never have I met a kinder, gentler, sweeter, or more lively lady. I am grateful to have known her and worked with her. My condolences to her wonderful family, who are also so sweet. It is true that the apple never falls far from the tree. I hope you find peace in knowing that Maxine seemed content and at peace with the world when I saw her the day before she passed.

Buzz, Linda, Amy - I know you know, but I thought your mother was a very special lady in my life, as was your father. I am very thankful they were a part of my life. I loved her (and him too).

Maxine was a well respected lady in our community. She will be missed by many. It was our pleasure to know her. We often witnessed the many ways her family showered her with their respect and love. We offer our condolences to Amy, Linda, Buzz, and all the family, but especially to Claire.
