Today, I searched for Peter on the internet in hopes of making contact with him after many years and recurring fond memories. During the 1970s, we became close friends and enjoyed kidding about being brothers. Although we were not actually related through bloodlines, we were about the same age, had a striking similarity of appearance, and both were affiliated with the Governor Julian Carroll administration. Peter was a legislator and then a member of Gov. Carroll's Cabinet, while I was Director of the Legislative Research Commission. Often when we would see each other in the Capitol Building, Peter would inquire, "Hey Phil, how's Mom today?" Since I have a brother named Peter Conn, who looks very much like Peter, it all seemed quite natural.

Peter was a strait-forward legislator and public official; a talented speaker, writer and administrator; and an amiable and solid friend. I admire him greatly. Of course, the fact that our political ideologies were similar made for a special rapport. I am greatly saddened to learn of Peter's passing. I regret that I did not make contact with him again before he left us.

Sorry to learn of Peter's death. A true public servant I served as the first Inspector General in Peter's administration. All of us who knew him were enriched by the journey.

Condolences from Peter's old neighborhood in Greensboro, NC before he and his family moved to Louisville about 1948- c. 1951-2. Peter was one of The Three: Johnny, Jerry, and Peter carted around in Mrs. Conn's fabulous car with the rumble seat.

I just found out about Peters passing. I only knew him briefly but he was a wonderful man. His smile lit up the room. His love for his wife was so touching as you could see it in his eyes when she was near him. My condolences to his family and especially his wife that took such wonderful care of him and made sure he had everything he needed. God Bless.
