ROUTH, EDWARD "EDDIE" STEWART, 81, of Fern Creek, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 7, 2014.
Mr. Routh was born in Corydon, IN, the son of the late Eli and Mary Ellen Routh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jo Ann Craig Routh, and his sister, Linda Moore.
Mr. Routh was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from General Electric after 35 years of service. He was an active member of Calvary Christian Center.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne Englert Routh; son, Tom Routh (Robin); four stepdaughters, Sharon Gocke, Karen Palazzo (Vince), Denise Crecelius, and Pam Hart (Drew); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; and a host of other family and friends.
The celebration of Mr. Routh's life will be held at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY) on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be held at a later time in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Corydon, IN).

To my loving uncle that I'm going to miss very much. We had a lot of good memories. I find comfort though,that you have went home to your heavenly father, and your family in heaven, and your whole again. We love u and are going to miss you terribly, till we meet again.
