Rosetta Melton Obituary
83, of Louisville, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014. She graduated from Munfordville High School and college at Texas Christian University. She was past president of American Business Women's Association, Fern Creek Women's Club, and Kentuckiana Real Estate Investor's Association. She was a former Deacon of Lakeside Baptist Church, former Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, former State Treasurer of the Kentucky Federation of Women's Clubs, and former member of the Past President's Club. She was also Vice-President of Melton Investment Company, Inc. until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hall Melton; her parents, Randolph and Beatrice Stasel; and her brother, Charles Frank Stasel.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her children, Ed Melton (Lynn) and Pat Schneider (Jymm); grandchildren, Danny Melton (Shannon), David Melton (Robin Thonen), Jason Blackford, Annette Tarquinio (Benjy), Melanie Schneider, Edward Melton III, Andrea Parker (Jeff), Patrick Hall, Crystal Melton, Rachel Ford (Algeria), Katie Melton (Gene Llaguno), Adam Melton, Ian Hall and Andrew Carswell; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mildred Stasel.
Funeral ceremony will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-6 p.m. Sunday.

I have heard of Aunt Rosetta and Aunt Mildred for several years through her nephew, Charles Glenn Stasel. I send my condolences to all of her family members. Glenn is a brother-in-law to Ralph and Frances McCoy.

My sympathies go out to Rosettas family and friends.
I met Rosetta years ago at several functions and she was also a friend of my mothers, Dorothy Secuskie, through the Eastern Star.
She was an inspiration with all her involvements, which she gave wholeheartedly.
She lived her life fully.
She was a good Christian lady
