MILES, ROBERT L. "BOB," 82, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was born July 4, 1931 in Loretto, KY. He worked at Belknap Inc. for 37 years and Fire King International for seven years. He was an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church, a devoted father and a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katherine Mattingly Miles; and three brothers, J.W. Miles, Jr., Elmer Miles and Frankie Miles.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Emma Jean Mattingly Miles; two sons, Steve Miles (Donna) and Ed Miles (Cathy); three daughters, Suzanne Cwiak (Rich), Kathy Miles (Jim) and Carol Prewitt; five grandchildren, Chris Renaud (Jenny), Michelle Renaud, Anthony Miles, Katelyn Prewitt and Abigail Prewitt; two great-grandsons, Michael and Robert Renaud; four sisters, Betty Lou Thompson, Linda Medley (Dave), Mary Catherine Lamkin (Bill) and Therese Hamilton (Leon); and one brother, Louie Miles (Lorene).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Highway, Louisville, with burial to follow in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, 8785 Highway 52, St. Francis. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by check to St. Rita Church "Building Fund" at 8709 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40219. Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

im not sure if you are the miles my mom knew , she worked at belknaps from 1950-1971 her name was evelyn foster. she always talked about a louie miles from Loretta if this is not you or it is you either way I terribly sorry for your life.
