I waited on Mr. Diebold for over 2 years at Audobon Country Club, and he was always extremely generous to the staff. A man of habit, he came everyday (he was quite sad to break his routine on the two weeks that we were closed in January), ordered the same lunch (chopped romaine lettuce and grilled chicken salad, sometimes with a side of egg-white omelet), and always left his paper (The Wallstreet Journal). More importantly, he always said hello, and always treated the staff with respect and dignity. He was a wonderful, calming presence to have at the club. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Diebold on his way to his home in Beverly hills. He spoke lovingly about his wife. I'am truly sorry for your loss.

I did not personally know Mr. Diebold, my daughter and brother worked for him. According to them he was most generous and kind. He came to my dad's funeral when he passed away, and this was something he did for each employee that lost a parent or child. He would show up to work on a Saturday if his employees were working, to show he cared for their commitment to the company. It is amazing to hear his story, to loose a good soul so early in his life, but God saw the good he had done and said your time on earth has been completed...it is hard but sad, know that he will be missed.
