DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- Arthur G. Fortin, age 84, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Carlton Shores Health and Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach, Fl after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Pratt) Fortin who passed away in 1999.
He was born in Chelmsford on February 15, 1930, a son of the late Joseph and Marie Anna (Lacombe) Fortin. Arthur served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a resident of Daytona Beach, Fl since 1993 and was formerly of Lowell.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician with General Electric in Burlington for
many years.
He leaves his two children, Ronald Fortin of Lowell and Paula and Frederick Mann of Chelmsford; his grandchildren, Meghan Luna and her husband Jonathan and Rebecca Mann, all of Chelmsford; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Boule and Dolores Pratt, both of Lowell.
FORTIN -- Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Wednesday morning, June 18, from 9 until 11 o'clock. A prayer service will follow at 11:30am at the Chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01702.
