I've been reading all the nice remarks friends and relatives have written in the Guest Book of Legacy.com about my sister Eileen. Thank you so much for sharing your remarks.
No one can take the place of our sister Eileen. She was a unique person and loved by everyone who met her. We all enjoyed her warm and generous personality.
Eileen had an ailing heart her whole life, but that never held her back from doing what she wanted to do. Many times she ended up in the hospital after the Thanksgiving/Christmas Holidays from fatigue, but she'd bounce back and still do a big spread for the Thanksgiving/Christmas Holidays again and end up again in the hospital from fatigue. This was the determined Eileen. This was what Eileen believed her duty was as a mother and spouse for her family.
Eileen believed she knew what was best for her sisters and brother . . and sometimes others. . . as she would praise and sometimes lecture. She was a very loving daughter to her parents and spent many hours, days and years caring for them in their senior years. No one appreciated parents, siblings, husband and family as much as my sister Eileen.
I'm very sorry and saddened that I was unable to attend Eileen's celebration of life due to knee recent replacement surgery. I know many attended. Eileen would be proud that so many friends and relatives came to give their final respects. I'm sure she was smiling from above and pleased that so many were in attendance.
May her soul Rest in Peace.
