Dear Pauline, I just read about Leo's passing; I am so sorry for your and your family's loss. Leo and you were the loveliest couple; such a shining example for other couples. The love you two shared was a wonderful thing to see. I remember him coming in to bingo with some big container to get popcorn - I thought that was so funny!
I really enjoyed selling strips and seeing you two every week. And what a great head of hair on Leo! I miss that time of my life. God bless.

Our condolences to Pauline and all of Leo's family, friends and loved ones. You are in our thoughts and prayers that God will give you peace, comfort you in your sorrow, and heal the brokenhearted. We are grateful for Leo's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service on the USS Flying Fish SS-229 and the USS Grampus SS-523. Also as a member of the USS Thresh Base USSVI we say to our "Brother of the Dolphin" ... "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones. Thank you for your service to our country." -- Rev. Ray Fritz, National Chaplain United States Submarine Veterans, USSVI.

My deepest condolences to the Cloutier family - it's a very sad loss. Several years back when Leo was named the Franco American of the Year I told the Lowell Sun something like if there were more people like Leo Cloutier around Lowell would greatly benefit. Those words are even more important now that the city has lost a hard working civic spirit who was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Leo will never be forgotten and we will all miss him dearly.

Dear Family:
I can remember when I was a young boy being so excited when Aunty Pauline and Uncle Curly(Leo) would come to our house. He always had a trick to show me, something up his sleeve or a joke to share. Not that I would always get the jokes but just the same I looked forward to their arrival. He was just that kind of guy. Always looking at the better side of things and made me feel special when sharing his life lessons and stories. The pool parties we had were the best. Family gatherings, cookouts, camping, he was always prepard for a good time. He will be remembered in my heart and memories forever. Condolences to my cousins, for I know what you are going through in this difficult time having lost close family members of my own. Just remember, we will meet with them again in glory. To my Aunt Pauline, your friendly smile will always bring joy to others you share it with. You deserve to be happy so don't despair we all need you and love you. You are in my thoughts and my heavy heart feels for you. Just remember that we love you and hope you have the support you need at this time. You are in my prayers for strenght to seek a day that we will all be together in heaven once again. Its the little things, the small everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles, and even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles.
Love you all,
Mark Thibault and Family
