I was Dick's secretary for a few years way back in 1978. He was the best boss and taught me so many things. We had such a great connection and I was fortunate to meet you and your girls. He certainly loved all of you. I am so sorry for your loss.

Please accept my sincere condolences to Dick's family on this sudden loss, which I just learned about on Friday. What a lively person he was! I first met him while serving as an EMT at the 4H fair for many years, as our station was next to the snack bar that he staffed without fail every August. Loved his sense of humor, his passion for Westford, and the joy he exuded. Dick will be sorely missed!

To Dottie and Family,

We share your loss as Dick was universally loved and respected. So many of us at DCAA owe so much of our careers to his mentoring, coaching and friendship. At our DCAA parties he was the clown prince and he just added "life" to any gathering. As good as he was in his professional life, his compass and engine was you his family because whenever any of you came into the conversation, it was with an abundance of love and affection. We will miss him, and we share your sorrow. The world has lost one of a kind.
