Richard W. "Penmey" McClellan
Longtime Billerica Resident
NORTH ADAMS -- Richard W. "Penmey" McClellan, age 63, died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
He was born in Malden, March 18, 1950 a son of the late Douglas F. and Helen M. (Felix) McClellan and was a longtime resident of Billerica and Lowell before moving to Adams two years ago.
Mr. McClellan served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was the head of the cross connections department for the Town of Billerica Water Treatment Department. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Makiej of Derry, NH, Jodie McClellan of OK; two sons, Richard W. McClellan Jr. of OK and Michael McClellan of Haverhill; three sisters, Evelyn Hand of Chelmsford, Dorothy Morgan of North Adams and Laura McClellan of ME; six brothers, Bruce McClellan of Tyngsboro, Wayne McClellan of ME, Paul McClellan of Adams, Doug McClellan Jr. of ME, Ralph McClellan of NH and Scott McClellan of Plymouth, MA. Also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-grandson as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
MCLELLAN -- Of North Adams, formerly of Billerica and Lowell, July 28, Richard W. "Penmey" McClellan. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Dear Jenn, I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. We had many laughs when the kids were small and can still hear him talk about that prime rib dinner. He will always be with you in spirit. Love, Brenda
