Deanie was a great friend to Sue and I. I miss having burgers with her at the VFW on Thursdays. She always had a fiesty sense of humor. I lost Sue a few months ago. I may have to go back to the VFW to relive some good memories.

To all my long lost cousins... Aunt Deanie was the most upbeat of all the Heilers! She always had that great smile on her face and I enjoyed my short encounters with her when I visited in Michigan. My love and sympathy to you all. Gay Heiler Handley

I worked for years with Deanie at the Retreat Center starting with the Franciscans and will always remember her as the hardest working woman I knew. She was the best apple pie and chocolate chip cookie baker ever and gave me her recipes but they didn't have her special ingredient, her love. God Bless you all and rest in peace Deanie.
