Mary Siebold Obituary
Lansing, Michigan
Age 82, passed away July 12, 2015. She was born May 23, 1933, in Frankfort, MI, to Ingval and Melba Peterson. A graduate of Michigan State University, Mary Rose worked as a substitute teacher in the Lansing School District and MSU Athletic Department. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Lansing Junior League. She was also an avid reader and loved to travel.
Mary Rose was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon H. Serr; and her second husband, Jack H. Siebold. Surviving are: son, Scott (Joann) Serr; daughter, Amy Serr; grandchildren, Allison, Hayley, and Kelly; as well as her cats, Sammy and Sally.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 218 W. Ottawa St., Lansing. Her family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church. I met Mary Rose through my parents (Joan & Jerry Stewart) in Cedarvile MI when she visited during the summer. She was such a kind soul & I'm so glad to have met her. I'm sure her loved ones have felt a significant loss since she passed. My deepest condolences to her family & friends.
