Malarkey family, I Just finished Don´s book and I´m captivated by his story and experiences. I´m saddened by our loss of him in this world but so grateful that he shared with us, not just his experiences, but his lessons learned during the most dire of circumstances. Like all people, we can´t overlook his flaws but they make his strengths shine that much more. It was an honer and privilege to meet and speek with Don when he spoke at the McMinnville Evergreen museum in 2011, where he shared many pictures and personal stories of being a part of Easy-Company.

I thank God each day for men like you who gave their lives for the call to freedom. Your generation will never be forgotten because men like you live in our hearts each and everyday.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember you... always. Mr. Malarkey you are in a perfect world now with all your old buddies.

This man inspired me to be a better person
