Wait, Charlie, you can't do this. I had another wild goose for us to chase! Oh well, we'll meet up later. Joy, I still love you too...

There will never be another Charlie! He was an original! So glad that I got a chance to work with him at Hatchett Talent Agency! I'll never forget all of the musicians that use to come in to the office and talk with him about the music scene in Texas! I was so fortunate to have that experience and have Charlie and Joy as friends. Austin music has definitely lost an icon! RIP Charlie! Alley Teofan Keeling

This is very sad news. I've known, occasionally played alongside and done business with Charlie Hatchett for almost 50 years. You unfortunately do not find many people in the music business who are both talented and genuinely nice guys. Hatchett was. My thoughts go out to Joy, Tyke and his family.

Charlie changed the course of our life. As our booking agent in 1992, Charlie put us on the map and helped develop our career. As a result, our lives took a turn for the better. AXIS

Charlie was my roommate and Fiji brother at Texas Tech. His death is so sad but generates so many great memories. He was truly one of a kind. Tom Richards

I was fortunate enough to call Charlie my father-in-law for almost 20-years. He was one of the most kind men I knew. It's a rare situation where someone is fortunate enough to have a second father but he gave me that honor. The word "love" doesn't convey adequately how much of an impact he had on my life, Will miss you for now but look forward to visiting in Heaven.

Charlie was an amazing man that touched so many peoples lives. I am honored to have known him and be apart of his life. I have many memories and will cherish those forever. Rest in Peace Charlie and I know you are always looking down on us.

I was a Tech Fiji with Charlie and although I had not seen him since 1961 I always remembered the joy he and his guitar brought to the Fijis and their dates at our dances. Great sense of humor. I have received email jokes from him until last week. There is a golden guitar up there waiting for him.
PERGE! (carry on)
