What a special lady. I had the pleasure of working with June and other Plainview PTAers way back when. Lubbock folks always looked forward to events with them. When you think about the years that have passed and how much I still admire her you can see how Influential she was We once had one of our fellow PTAer asked what was it about us church of Christ people that we always gathered as a flock. Wonderful Christian example..

June was my dear distant cousin, as we both descend from Gen Joseph Martin. I met her at the National Martin reunion in Martinsville, Va., and prior to that had correspondence with her. She went to Knox County, Tx and took pictures of the gravesite of of my Great Uncle, George Thomas Martin. June was very helpful in my cousin Nancy Martin Knight work "Joseph Martin, Peacemaker". She will be missed by all who knew but know she is in the presence of Christ.

I met June when I married Les Polvado. I truly admired her. She was an amazing woman and I always enjoyed seeing her at Camp Bandina and catching up with her. Heaven has a special angel back home now.

June was my mother's cousin (Billye Martin Caudell) and they shared years of memories as they were growing up. We would come from Abilene, Texas to visit when I was a young child. My mother came to visit me in Lubbock and we went to visit June at her house in Plainview. June and I had lunch a couple of times together in Lubbock. Now my mother and June are together again.

My prayers are with the family during this time.
