Dr. Austin recruited me as a graduate student and assistant in the early 80s to Texas Tech. Always enjoyed his company, advice and support. Sorry to have fallen out of touch and to see that he has physically left us. Through the years I have especially thought of him and his friendly way of dealing with problems and pressures when I have had to deal with the same. My condolences for your loss, but as I am sure you already know -- his spirit lives on in many of the students he worked with.

Kathy, Uwe & family
I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I pray you feel God's comforting arms around you at this time.
He will be so missed here on earth, but what a joyous time he's having in Heaven!
I will continue lifting your family up in prayer ~

I love you Kathy,
Judy Giles

Larry was an incredible author, teacher and researcher. He wrote and taught with tremendous acumen, experience and wit. I was privileged to be his co-author on two of his books and his minicases were laugh-out-loud learning scenarios. Along with many, many others, I benefitted greatly from his mentoring that was always affirming and filled with good advice.

Corey and I are so sorry you lost your sweet Dad. He was so sweet and kind every time I saw him. I know you will miss him and your Mom but they will always be watching over you each step of the way. --Corey and Chyrel Mitchell

Larry was a staunch supporter of faculty of the college. I continued to appreciate him and his generous spirit long after retiring from Tech. Sue Gately (Santa Fe, TX)
