What can I possibly say about such an angel. Mrs. Raphelt was my fourth grade teacher at Martian Elementary in Lubbock, Texas. She taught me how to journey and gave me the reason for doing so. "Its a way to keep up with your blessing" she would always tell her students. This woman is the reason that I am a teacher, educator, leader, advocate for women and children. I am 55 years old. Mrs. Raphelt was a good friend of mine. I am very blessed that I had a wonderful relationship with her, as well as priceless memories . She and I would talk on the phone for hours at a time up to about a year ago. I lost contact with her, but she is always in my presence just as my mom. Mrs. Raphelt, I did not receive my MBA in 2013, but I am scheduled to graduate in September 2014. Thank you for all of your support and love. I will never give up. I will always miss and love you. Tell Mr. Raphelt I said hello.
Rest In Peace my sweet friend.

Mrs. Raphelt made such a huge impact upon my life. She was my fourth grade teacher in Post. She remained an influence in my life for many years. She taught me to believe in myself. I visited her each time I returned to Texas until her move to Denton. The world is a much better place because of her. I loved her dearly.

Mary Raphelt was an elegant and gracious lady. I was blessed to know her for so many years.

Mr. Raphelt was my 6th grade teacher at Parkway Elementary in Lubbock. About 4 years ago, I met Mrs. Raphelt at the Ragtown Theater in Post. At the time, I didn't know that Mr. Raphelt had passed away and I was able to tell her what a blessing it was to have him as my teacher. She gave me her phone number and address and said if I ever wanted to talk, to give her a call. Sadly, I never did. She was such a kind and gracious lady. Prayers for her family. Kayla

Since 1952 Mrs. Raphelt has been a very special person to me. Since she and I were both involved in Ragtown Gospel Theater I was able to let her know what a tremendous influence she had on my life. That influence guided my teaching career. I never had her for a teacher,a life time regret for me, so I became know to her as her "wanted to be student". She became a part of me and I feel a painful loss, but the great God of hope will someday restore that loss.
