Uncle Travis..he is one of those super hero's in your life. He was a Lubbock Fire Fighter for 37yrs, he built homes, he played golf, loved to fish, and many man and family members say he was the greatest man they ever knew. I say the same, Uncle Travis, You are a great MAN. He was my Uncle but acted like a grandfather. He taught me life lessons through his time, his talents, and his treasures. Not everyone gets picked up from elementary in a LFD District Chief's car, or has a latter truck come to school to help with a science project. Or get taught golf by method of “watch how I hit this bucket of golf balls, and then you go and pick them up for your turn.” Or taken to home job sites and get every question a little kid has answered.. He took time for me. And to grow up watching where his treasure was. His treasure is his family. Blended marriage were he adopted his wife's kids and never thought twice about it. Had every person even somehow related to anyone over for holiday meals. Or sat up all night with his nephew while he could not sleep in the hospital. I may have only heard him say “I love you” a handful of times, but he showed his love in his actions… Uncle Travis, you are loved and truly missed!!
