I first had the pleasure to meet Twila 16 years ago as a school nurse. She was more than just a blessing at work. I soon realized she was God's divine appointment in my life. She soon became a true friend, my spiritual mom, my personal cheerleader, an intercessor & a prayer partner. She was a woman of great valor & Christian integrity. I liked & loved the Jesus she reflected!

Twila was, also, a gift to this community's health workers, the Region 17's nurses & her peers. She was an integral part in influencing the quality & excellance of public school health in this region largely due to the selfess hours she served above & beyond the call-of-duty.

In retirement Twila also served with the same commitment to excellance. She recruited me to attend bible classes alongside her through Prepare Internat'l Ministries. What an adventure she started~ I can still hear her laughing. She left a huge footprint in my heart & life. I miss her sorely now, but I look forward to spending an eternity with her (at the feet of Jesus) picking up where we left off. . .... as Twila said "the BEST IS YET TO COME!!"

Twila had a beautiful light that shined so brightly. The first time I met Twila at Glad Tidings Church I saw it and I felt immediately drawn to her. She is going to be missed but I know her light will continue to shine in her eternal home and in the hearts of those left behind.

Twila will always have a big place in my heart. She was a very special lady who had a huge love and passion for school nurses. As a new school nurse in 1997, she was a lifesaver to me! Through the years, she became a true friend and someone who I loved dearly. The service center has not replaced her, and I know it is because they know she is not replaceable. Her love, work, and passion for kids will continue on in all the region's school nurses. Love you sweet Twila- you are already missed.

Twila was a very sweet and special lady. I loved her bubbly personality and joy she brought to our lives. She was an inspiration to me and so many school nurses in our 57 school districts. She had a heart for school nurses. I was so blessed to have her in my life both professionally and personally. My heart breaks for her loss as she mentored me and made me believe in my abilities that she saw in me. On a personal level she was a godly influence in my life. She was my prayer partner and encourager. I will truly miss her but know that one day we will meet again in heaven.
To Twila's children and grandchildren, Twila spoke of you often and was so very proud of you. I pray God gives you peace and comfort like no other can.
God bless you all.

I worked out with her at the gym. I can't believe Sweet Twila is gone. She was an inspiration to all of us. I will miss her smile and her "come on Genell, you can do this" My Heart is heavy.

So sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Twila for many years, as one of her School Nurses. She was always ready to help us with conferences, workshops or whatever was necessary for the health of students. I appreciate all she did for each of us and each school district.
Rest In Peace sweet Twila.

Twila was a supporter and friend when I worked with her at Region 17. I know she will be missed by family, loved ones and friends. I am sure she is happy and laughing with the Lord.
