DOROTHY MORIN Dorothy Ethel (nee Gordon) Morin, affectionately known as Dot, passed away May 11, 2013, at home with her loving husband. She was born July 31, 1925, in Pittsfield, Mass., to the late Robert and Loretta Gordon. June 10, 1950 she married the love of her life, Walter Morin. They moved to Acton, Mass., where they made a home and raised two children. Dot worked as a bank teller and greeting card distributor. She also had an artistic eye and china painted for over 30 years. The beautiful pieces she painted will be forever cherished by those who loved her. She remained in New England until retirement to Fort Myers, Fla., and then spent the last five years in Las Vegas. Dot was a lively person who loved to laugh and have fun. She loved music, dancing, her high heels, her manhattans and going to the beach. Family and friends were dear to her and she loved to entertain. She is survived by her husband, of nearly 63 years, Walter Morin; son Paul (Marsha) Morin of Massachusetts; daughter, Lynda (Ed) McCarthy of Las Vegas; granddaughters, Jenny (Damone) Autry and Lisa DiDonato, both of Las Vegas; grandson, Billy DiDonato of Nashville, Tenn.; and great-grandsons, Joey Leddy of San Diego, Trystan Leddy of Indiana, and Mikey Reardon of Las Vegas. Her bright smile and loving personality will be greatly missed. "Today there is another angel watching over us." Private services were previously held.
