Wellwellwell my ol' pard Doug. Been a long and raggedy ride; who'da thunk we'd last this long? We fell out of touch so long ago, yet you've sometimes crept into my dreams with that smile, laugh, and times we had. Yes, we heard the chimes at midnight, we did THE THINGS, and even now and again had a damn decent time of it. You know I'd be at Ft. Snelling if I could; look up Pete and Pearl, they'll be glad to welcome an old friend. I've missed you all these many years, now I will miss you again until we run across that meadow of wildflowers with a special hug. I'll bring the beer, you bring the angels. Your good friend Johnny Ledford

My father was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends here in Minnesota as well. While he was my father he was also my very dear friend. His humor, charisma and intelligence will be in my heart forever!
