Wendell, Kirby, Kate, Kari and Kelly - so sorry for your loss. My heart sinks considering how gracious your mom was in being my mom at many rough times in my young life. The tremendous memories I have are indelible and I will always have a special place in my heart and mind for Joyce. Such a special lady, mother, matriarch, mentor and friend.
Dear Ron, Have been thinking of you at this sad time. What wonderful memories we have of you and Joyce coming to visit your Canadian cousins every summer when you were young. You, Joyce and her family always welcomed us when we came to Las Vegas. We always had a lovely time. We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With deepest sympathy, Love, Miriam & Dave

Mrs. Donahoo hired me as a UNLV student to assist the late Dr. Thorn Butler (a UMC pathologist) in his Toxicology research. I will be forever grateful to Joyce for giving me the first opportunity in Clinical Laboratory Medicine. After first being hired on paper, (from the merits of an application) by another facility, and later being offered a less professionally rewarding position; I went to UMC for an interview with Joyce, who was the Chief Medical Technologist at that time. She always showed the utmost of respect and fairness to everyone. We will miss her genuine care and concern for all those she encountered.
