For the way he lite up my best friends life Liz I as so sorry. Wish i could be there in person. With all my love .
Mike made my friend Liz Martinez feel loved. They had 2 wonderful years together. I thank him for that. May he rest in peace.
Like Kenny, you might not know or remember me, but I also lived near Mike in his second year of college. He was a great listener, and kind. As Kenny says, he was a daredevil, but in a friendly way. I never kept up with him, as my life meandered quite a bit after my freshman year, but he was a good friend, and a great example of a good human being that I will not forget.
You might not know or remember me but I was Mike's roommate 2nd year of college UW. Although I haven't kept up with him as much as I would have liked,I will remember Mike as somebody who was always positive. He always had a good attitude and was a daredevil who was willing to try anything. I will always remember the time we dared him to eat the chilies at Orange King and he did without any water. I can still see the redness of his face. We all laughed so hard for hours. He was the one who inspired me to enter the health field as we both were thinking about doing physical therapy. I am truly sorry for your loss.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how important family was to Mike. Heber was a good friend that I should have better kept in touch with. He was never judgmental, and I often gained insight when he was around. He was a lot of fun to be around and could always be counted on to keep the party going, in his own way. I remember his birthday party at Emerald Downs, it must have been around 1997. It was a great day, and not only did mike pull a longshot out of his pocket, the picture with the horse at the paddock for "his race" just seemed like a beautiful way to cap the day. The last talking to him when he was in Flagstaff, guess I'll have to make a "purple haze" in your honor now.
This one's for you buddy.
you lit up the world by just being you!

Aunt Pauline, Doug, Steve, and family we are so sorry for loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God be with you during this time.
Aunt Pauline know how much you and my cousins are loved as we all feel the loss of such a gentle spirited son, brother, Father, Cousin, and friend we all felt in Mike. You ran the distance with him that he was so grateful to you for loving him so much through it all. Your strength I admire and love you so much for having. My heart and prayers are with you, Doug & Steven, Liz, and most important Sierra and Luke through this time.
You have us all to hold you close and know we love you so much.
Pauline and Family,
My deepest sympathy. I am writing this from Seattle and remember as a young boy a very special fun trip to visit the Thain family in the Pacific Northwest. I remember playing with Doug, Steve and Mike and digging clams at the beach. I don't know where the years have gone by but I recognize that we have not stayed in touch like we should have. Despite that, I think of you often. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.
My condolences to all the Thains. I am at my parents in Tacoma and had thought of our early years while driving by Twin Lakes. One of my earliest memories is Steve riding his bike to our Twin Lakes home with Mike riding behind him so that Mike and I could trade baseball cards and socSteve could trade with Garry. We spent a lot of our lives together at church, elementary school years, and at Lakota & Decatur. Craig Dunn
