Charlie and I worked for the same company driving truck in Las Vegas. After he retired, I was so surprised to run into him again at the VFW in Dolan Springs. I always looked forward to seeing him on weekends on our way to Meadview. It was always fun catching up on whatever was going on. I was alarmed when he told me about his health issues last April. We saw him once again before he passed which came much too soon. I am so sad with his passing. I miss him so much. I am so glad to have known him and that he was a part of my life. One of the better people I have known. Love you, Charlie.
Charlie was my cousin but most of all I counted him my friend. Whenever my wife and I were in the area we always stopped by for a visit. Charlie took us on several sightseeing trips that remain favorite memories even now. He always insisted that we stay at his place and we never failed to have a great time. We talked with him often on the phone. When we learned of his illness we asked him to come and stay with us, but he truly loved it there. He had lots of friends and neighbors nearby and for that we are thankful. We love you buddy. You will always hold a special place in both of our hearts.
My husband Ozzie and Charlie were in the Air Force together. He was in our wedding party when we got married. He has always been part of our family. He fought the hard fight but it got the best of him. He was a great friend and was always there to help someone in need. We will never forget you.
I was in the Air Force with Charlie in the early 70's and stayed with him in Tucson numerous times after that. Charlie was always there for anyone that needed a helping hand. We will all miss you Charlie.
