Our sincere condolences to the Coogan family for the untimely loss of their beloved Shannon.
We will miss you.

Shannon was the nearest thing I ever had to a big brother. I remember playing cowboys and building forts in the desert with he and Sharon. Later he taught me how to bat a softball. As a teenager he taught me how to water ski. He teased me constantly, just like I was his little sister. I'm pretty sure he learned that from Jack. Shannon was always a kind person who would do anything for a friend. I have such fond memories of the entire Coogan family, and I send them my love and condolences.

None of you may know me, but Shannon was a very special person in my life. He was my first date. My father came with us (I come from a traditional Italian family) to the Elephant Walk on Charleston where we had ice cream. Shannon endured all that went with dating the oldest daughter in that family with grace and humor. He is remembered fondly by me and my siblings. He left me with an enduring attraction for Irish men; both of my husbands have been Irish! He gave me a sense of worth and confidence, an amazing gift to a 16 year old girl and I love him still for that. I knew he would be an amazing husband and outstanding father . My condolences to all of you for your loss....it is huge.
