Dear Joe,
You were touched by God here on earth. It truly showed in everything you did. In your music, God's light shined through every note. When you sang the angels listened. When you spoke words of wisdom & support, you preached & back it up with the words of God. I learned so much from you. Thank you.
I will miss you,but I thank God that I had the opportunity to share the stages of Las Vegas with you making beautiful music while allowing God to shine His light through us. Thank you for introducing me to Deborah, a lady, a beautiful spirit & your wonderful wife. She was & is a great person, encourager & supporter to me. Keep watching over her from Heaven above.
Much Love & God Bless,
Wendy Edmead

Joe, Joe, Joe. Wherever you are know that you are loved and appreciated for being such an example of opened ended giving and Love. You were a Magnificent Husband and Father to your wife Debra, Kelly, Eric, lil Joe and all of us who had the pleasure and honor to have been taken in under your loving heartfelt care... I'll remember you always and I will always make sure Debra is alright. The Love you two shared and displayed was a Holy Union of true love between a man and woman. I know your love for Debra is stronger than ever you'll be with her always. Joe was a true example of a God-Man... I am blessed to have been embraced by his presence. Mortonette and Lee

I played guitar with Joe with the Pointer Sisters. He was a great cat and I loved him. So sorry he is gone at such a young age. R.I.P. and God Bless you Joe.

I toured w/ Joe as the other guitarist w/ the Pointer Sisters 1980-83.
I remember when Joe came to audition for the gig at Modern Music in Hollywood, wearing his hospital orderly greens complete w/ name tag - needless to say he played great and got the gig. We were in touch @ 2 yrs ago for the 1st time since then - so sorry to hear this news. Bill Fowler

JOE AND I MET IN 1981 IN ATL AND IT WAS INSTANT LOVE. I WAS MOST IMPRESSED BY HIS WIT, LAUGHTER, AND THAT HUGE SMILE. JOE HAD AN AMAZING GIFT OF KINDNESS AND HE TAUGHT ME TO DO WHAT YOU'RE GOOD AT AND FOR US IT WAS MUSIC. I FELT HIS LOVE FOR GOD. THIS PART OF HIS LIFE THAT HE SHARED WITH ME IS CHERISHED AND HE WILL NEVER, EVER BE FORGOTTEN. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY, HIS LOVED ONES, AND FRIENDS ON TODAY.
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE, JOE!
