Although we've lost contact the past several decades, I remember him well. We worked together in the REALTOR organization in the 1970's serving on various committies and became friends.
Please accept my condolences to his family.
Susan dear...I've had you and your family in my heart and thoughts all week. As the Irish put it (perhaps best! I think) "...I'm so sorry for your trouble!" Even though we didn't know each other all that well, I remember Lou happily and vividly, and that great picture certainly caught his zest for living so beautifully! My sympathies and my best to you ALL! Affectionately,
Ellie
I am sorry to learn of the passing of Louis Reitz. Louis and his brother Robert were neighborhood chums when I was growing up. We all went to the same schools: North Ninth, 5th Street Grammar School and LVHS. We played Cowboys, baseball and football together on their yard on 7th street. I always liked his parents who were solid people, down to earth and treated all of us kids as part of their family. Fond memories of our times together came flooding back to me as I read the notice of his passing this morning. Louis was a very bright student and a hard worker. He was always a true friend, good natured, happy and always helpful. I haven't seen him or Robert since my folks and I left the neighborhood when the east leg of the I-15 took over our property. I pray for him and his family. I know he will be missed by all. May God shine brightly upon you Louis and may His countenance bless you with his glory always. Rest in Peace old friend.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know God will help you through these difficult times. Psalms 46:1
