NONA MORE

I only recently (and belatedly) heard of Nona's passing, and -- as a former Boulder City High School classmate -- recall her as an always-friendly and vibrant individual.

I have no doubt that she touched the lives of many people in a positive manner throughout the years, and a review of this Guestbook's entries affirms that.

R.I.P., Nona.

I know this is a difficult day for Nona's family because it is her birthday. I know that I woke up missing her so much today. I know she is in a better place, but I sure miss her. She was such a wonderful person--always so kind and caring and fun. I can still hear her laugh. I was amazed that even when she was not feeling well, she still asked me about myself and my family. She cared so much about people. I was blessed to work with her in the Clark County Manager's Office and then our paths brought us both to the DA's Office. When I left the County, we still remained in touch and would have dinner together from time to time. She was like a mother to me, and I will always love her.

I worked with Nona at the Frontier Hotel. Her office was a hub. Everyone loved to stop by for a cup of coffee and a chat. Nona was caring, concerned and had a wonderful sense of humor. Such good times. Nona was a single mother then. She worked hard to own her own home and provide a good life for Jodi and Mark. My heartfelt sympathy to Doug, Jodi, Mark and the entire family.

Nona was a very kind & caring person. I remember her from District Court. We had a lot of laughs & shared family stories all the time. My condolences to all her family.
