John and family,

As board president of young Audiences of MN Shirley was a great support to me in my role as Executive Director. She believed all children needed art in their lives and the arts could be a powerful tool for learning. I remember she enjoyed our trip to New York to accept the Chapter of the Year award. She was very proud of that. I hadn't seen her in several years, but have very fond memories. I am so sorry for your loss.
