VIVA ORCHARD Viva L. Orchard, 69, a retired Federal postal worker, passed away Feb. 3, 2013, in Henderson. She was born June 29, 1943, in Johnstown, Pa., to Grace Crawley and William Collins. She resided in East Meadow, N.Y., and retired in 1998 in Henderson. Viva was very active in her community. She loved to cook for her neighbors, friends and family. Viva enjoyed dancing to 60's music, loved her pets and was intrigued with court cases and trials. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 32 years, John. She is survived by her brother, Chris (Karen) Smith; and her Terrier pal, Papillion. She will be laid to rest privately at Pinelawn Cemetery in New York.

Was a friend and a co-worker . Worked with Viva and John at the post office . Going miss her and our phone calls .

Viva was one of the most friendly persons in the JHS class of 1962. Always fun at the reunions and she loved to dance. She could light up a room with her smile and her sense of humor. She will be missed and her memory will live on in the lives she touched. Deepest sympathy to the family and of course Papillion.
