Just learned of "Uncle Bill's" passing after trying to look him up and touch base by phone. ...so sad....such a charismatic guy and influenced all of us. he was one of Dad's best friends from Miami Police Dept. loved weekend visits to Royal drive house ( Frank Lloyd Wright)he oversaw in Grove and visits with him in Vegas while on work trips..he always made time to come see us/me when in town. Babysat for him and Susie and have fun memories too with Lenny and Sharon at Milam Diary on our ice cream socials!!! he will be in our hearts forever...such a huge loss...sad tonight...what a legacy he left...

Regards and condolences to family,

Diane Donatelli Maddox

Bill was remarkable. He would deliver fudge to the ladies in the police records department and many others. He would say "making friends." He was so good at that. All the best to his family everywhere

I met Bill when I came to work at Allstate in 1980. He was always friendly and helpful, especially with advice on work and living one's life. I don't think Al Cannata ever expected to have such a "gentle giant" for a son-in-law. By all measures, he was a good man. RIP, Bill.

I'm so glad I got to see Bill when I came to visit you Sharon. I loved that he showed me the letters and poems he wrote to his wife. He really loved her. I have fond memories of him when we were growing up. The boxing gloves, the be a good guy stickers, him picking us up in the police car one time. He is truly missed. His star now shines bright in the sky. We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Sharon, Lenard and Family.
Love you always...Laura and Jack
