Thank you Charles for igniting my love of art and art history. Now I seek to convey that same excitement to my own students. Blessings to you in this next adventure.
Mr Chevalier made a lasting impression on all who met him. I was fortunate to know him while a student at MCHS from 1966-70. When I was visiting with my English bride a few years later, he invited us over for tea. He was witty, charming, entertaining and full of life. Life was never dull with Mr. Chevalier. He was an amazing teacher who positively impacted far more lives than he probably realized.
Charles embraced the world with such gusto! My husband and I shared many a meals with him....and loved spending time with him and hearing about all his experiences! The earth has been a far better and more beautiful place because of Charles being born. We will miss you terribly! R.I.P.
Mr. C was an amazing man and a great teacher. It was a treat to have been his student. Thank you for the all your efforts and support!
Having taught at MCHS with Charles it was a pleasure to know him and listen to his vast knowledge of our world- a delightfully experienced teacher-William j Pappas
Thanks Charles for your friendship while you were teaching at The Leelanau Schools in Glen Arbor, Michigan.
Mr. Chevalier was one of my favorite teachers in high school. He always made learning fun and exciting. I hope I am doing the same for my students.
What a joy having known you.
