LASHLEY, WALTER G., age 81, passed away April 12, 2014, in the comfort of his home, and in the presence of his devoted wife Lois, and all six of his loving children, Judith (Richard) Bowman, Donald (Kara), Karen (Thom) Lucas, Walt (Darlene), Robert (Martha) and Sally (Jeff) Burke. In addition, he is survived by his 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Kendel, Kaitie, Keaton, Kasie, Kade, Onnah, Robert, Lauren, Haley and Hanna who all knew him to be the coolest. Walter was a devout Catholic, Korean War Veteran, career banker, world traveler, master gardener, landscape painter and perpetual tinkerer. No matter who you were Walter always made you feel you mattered. He was truly a wonderful man…no, he was a truly an amazing man! Funeral services Monday, April 21, 2014 11:30 a.m. (instate 11 a.m.) St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with Rev. Father Michael Cooney officiating. Burial Willow Grove Cemetery, Armada, MI. Visitation Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 12 noon until 7 p.m. with a Scripture service at 6 p.m. in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, MI. There is no visitation Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
