A brother, a friend, a caring heart His foot prints will always be imprinted in this community and in our hearts. His kindness and care shall always be remembered. George was truly a man of God who loved his patients and his community. His patients were his family. We love and cherish all that Liza and George gave to us all. To Liza and the entire Johnston family, we love you and our hearts and our prayers are with you through this transition.

My condolences to the family on the loss of George. A friend to all and a blessing to our community

we dedicate In honor of his memory this poem

"Afterglow"

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

To the Johnston Family, May the Lord be with you all in your time of sorrow. I knew George growing up because I attended St. Peter Claver. Our paths crossed again some years later during his Internship at the University of Chicago Hospital. George was a sweet and caring person who will be truly missed.

My condolences to the Johnston family at this time of bereavement. I didn't have the privilege of meeting Dr. Johnston, but I am a friend of his daughter and also met his son. Dr. Johnston and his wife raised two bright children who have great character, personality, and a great admiration, love, and respect for their father. I know he is greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

May the God of peace rest and abide upon you, Jesus the Christ.I give my deepest sympathy to the Johnston's Family. Dr. Johnston was my favorite doctor. I missed him during his illness and was forever regretful of him being unable to practice medicine. I have not yet met a doctor of his great integrity and care for his patients. We have lost one of the greatest doctors I knew of. He was gentle,caring,honest,loyal,in the care of his patients and treatments.

To the Johnston family you all know how much he was loved because he gave it back to his patients. I can not say how much and how sorry I am for your loss. If it had not been for God and him and his friend Dr. Jones I would not have been here. He did not give up on me. I will forever be thankful he will never be forgot. God Bless you all.

I am not from Macon, but I was referred to Dr. George and that was the best thing that ever happened to me. Dr. George
was very sincere and dedicated to his life's work. I thank God
for him and Dr. Ben. May God forever keep his loving arms around you
