I just want to tell you how much I love you. I almost asked Dan where you were when he came in a while ago. I'm going with him to Valdost tomorrow to try to find him a place to live. I pray he will do well and continue to be a faithful Christian. The church is strong there, so that should be an encouragement to him. I pray that he, Karen, and Lisa will be dedicated and commited to worship and service to the Lord. Rest well. Love you so much.

Gerald, I've been so miserable, thinking perhaps I might have done more to help you during those last six days. I can't really remember what or why for much of that time. I keep blaming the medical staff when I probably need to accept my lack of awareness. I"ll always regret not doing the last thing you ever asked of me--giving you an icecream sandwich. Would that have alerted the doctors that there was still hope? I"ll just have to live with this until I see you in heaven. I pray all our family will one day share this beautiful home. Jean

Gerald, I finished selling the coins.I am constantly amazed at the loving things you did for me. I remember when I was irritable and impatient, and I regret every hurtful word I said. I wish I could hold you and tell you how much I love you. Perhaps you already know. Enjoy your new home. Jean

Gerald, I've been really sad thinking of you today. It's been worse than usual. Iknow part of the problem is I'm not eating right. I can't seem to be motivated to cook a decent meal. I am planning a meal for church tomorrow. Someone said a few days ago that it is strange to see me without you. It will always be strange to me to be without you. I love you. Jean

Gerald, it's so hard to tell people "Gerald died on June 10." I still can't really believe it myself. I did talk to Dr. Branam without crying today. Dan and I tried to find the place to get another dog, but somebody apparently gave us the wrong directions. Dan is at the game--I know he misses having you with him. I gave away some of your plywood today--to Billy Braswell. He's done a lot to help Karen and Steve. I love you so much. Jean
