I visited the world before I ever left home as a little girl when he came & showed slides of his travels. He stayed in our home many times when my Uncle Bob & Aunt Bev were state workers in GA. Since they were my aunt & uncle, I thought he was my Uncle Roy. He was a kind and generous man & our family loved him.

What a wonderful, holy man of God. He came into our lives and his smile would light up a room, when anyone entered. He loved a good clean joke, and I shall never forget how, while evangelizing he slept in a basement, and a snake slithered under the covers and crawled out the bottom of the sheets..he proclaimed he never moved. He loved his animals. Oh, the loss to this world, when a man of wisdom, kindness, love and of high character goes to his heavenly home. Roy, we love and admire you..thanks for the opportunity to love you and for you loving us in return.

Brother Mixon was such a great blessing to me during the beginning of my ministry. I will always cherish the memory of him inviting me, when I was seventeen, to assist him in a few revivals in South GA and Florida. He was a great man of God.
