I think Grandma knew this day was coming so she wanted to go home and make sure your mansion was ready for you. For you to spend eternal life together. It was never in Gods plan for you two to be apart.

I love you and cherish you with all my heart.

Please watch over us, be with us in all we do. It is going to be so hard without you. Please be with my dad as much as you can, I worry about him. This is just so much for all of us to take in emotionally so soon. Please stay in our hearts and give us some of the strength you had.

Thank you for all your kindness and sweet words. Thank you for your smiles and your hugs. Thank you for the funny stories and all the wonderful things you have taught us that will be cherished forever.

You always made sure that I respected my mother in your presence and you did the same with my children. You let us get away with anything but disrespect you didn't tolerate.

I can still see you driving in that overly huge van, honking your bicycle horn out the window at anyone who got in your way your road rage must be genetic because
I'm worlds worst, fighting with Tilley the billy goat. I laugh as I remember you sawing the legs off of that goat when he died instead of digging a deeper hole just like me, we find a way. So many memories Grandpa. Thank you for every single one of them.

Your magic tricks, eating cat food, and those huge apple flavored horse vitamins you took. It's amazing how fast the time we had together went by. I am so thankful that my children had the opportunity to meet you, For they met 2 of the greatest people in the world.

A lot like Grandma, I can never forget our days spent together, eating lunch at Burger King. I can see you and Grandma on our trips to Florida, catching all of those crabs in the bay just because I wanted to take them home for pets but I dont think any of them made it home alive. But you made sure that I got them because I wanted them. Trips to the lake were made more fun because of you and Grandma, you taking us out on the jet ski and getting us lost, you had the worst sense of direction I have ever seen. Easter egg hunts at aunt kits house and searching for our prize egg, Josh would find ours and hide it harder so we couldn't find it. There are so many memories that I promise I will never forget.

You hated to see me cry, didn't want anything or anyone hurting me. Although tough on the outside, your girls had a special way inside your heart.

You gave so much to all of us. A phone call is all it took and you have always been there for us. I want you to know how much you will always be appreciated. Your love is a one of a kind love and you are a one of a kind man. In fact, I can remember you getting mad when I cut my hair, wore makeup or wore fake nails.
For you thought these things took away from my beauty. You are the only man who has ever loved me just the way I am. I know you will have eternal happiness in Heaven alongside Grandma.

One of the greatest rewards in my life was having you and Grandma as my grandparents. I lost my moms dad at too young of an age and although I try, I can't remember him. You were my only grandfather, the only one and I miss you so much. Thank you for being the best grandpa in the world. Thank you, thank you, for always being there for me and picking me up when I fell. I will keep you alive and make sure my children never forget how amazing you are.

Dear Grandpa,

Never in a million years would I have thought this year would end the way it has. I can't believe you are both gone. You both have done so many good deeds for so many people and touched so many lives. Never would you pass up a needy person, you were blessed beyond measures and continuously gave back. I miss you so much.

I know that you are happy now where you are. I can only imagine how it must feel to have your mind and your health back and for Grandma to hold the man she has been missing for so long in her arms. She's been missing you for a long time and you are her missing piece
