I'm going to miss you Joe.
You were a happy and loving soul and I was fortunate to be able to call you friend.
Some of my best memories and best times of my life were with you (and often your other BellSouth friends & family )
I can't be around a group of friends having fun and not think about you & certain things you would say and do to get us all "on the same plane" !
I "borrow" other memorable quotes of yours that even Lewis Grizzard would wish that he he had thought of first !
Death is inevitable but living life to it's fullest is something only a few like you can pull off.
God rest your soul

What a legend. Not a day goes by without a smile from thinking of you and our friendship. The nights at St Simons to the days playing golf. You always said you could bring a tear to a glass eye. I am sure there are a lot shed over your passing. You will really be missed my friend.

Joe has been a part of my life for almost 40 years. He was a kind man who loved his family. We had many good times together and I will miss him very much, especially the days of singing and picking the guitar which he loved to do. He was a very talented and smart man. I am thankful he is no longer suffering. If you had to go, how awesome it must have been to meet Jesus on your birthday! Rest in peace dear Joe. You will never be forgotten.

To my father-in-law...our time was too short for sure and I will miss you! My best memory will be dancing with you at my wedding. Rest in peace!

Joe & I hooked poles for Southern Bell out of Guy Paine Rd during the '60's, our 3 kids were each born only months apart, we both had houses in Bloomfield, played cards most weekends, partied and just hung around. I transferred to Atlanta in '73, Joe followed to Marietta a few years later.
He bring his blue grass music to my pool with a banjo picker from Macon. We lost regular touch after he moved back to Macon, but will not be forgotten.

Joe ( Hulan Lamar) was one of my closest friends since the early 70s. His love for music and living life to the fullest made him a special person and a great friend. I have many wonderful memories of our times together. He brought joy and laughter to all around him. I miss him so much.
