Rah warrior. May you RIP.

Always up for a good time, Sgt. Peterman was usually the center of attention. Sometimes unconventional, he ALWAYS stood up for his Marines and what he thought was right. He spoke his mind to anyone, no matter what their rank. I learned a lot from him about standing up for the guys under you. I had great respect for him and I am deeply saddened by the news of his passing. RIP Devil.

This breaks my heart. He was such a good man. Dedicated father. First class Marine. A mans man. To the Peterman family and his children I want you to know your son/father is greatly missed.
Until we regroup.

I was blessed to know Sgt Carl Peterman. We were Sergeants together in 1/6, and I still recall him fondly even though it's been 10 years since I've last spoken to him. He was one that made an impression, his antics still make me smile to this day, and I know I'm a better person for having known him. May God continue to bless and watch over his family and friends.

I, like so many of my brothers, just found out about Carl's passing. First of all I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. He was a unique Marine that I could always depend on to keep the Marines in check. We lost a great warrior and friend. I am not sure what kind of turnout there was at his service but I'm here to tell you that had we known, we'd have shown in force. Rest in Peace Carl. We will meet again. Semper Fidelis!

Well, I must say I was blown away to find out about the loss of Sgt. Peterman. He was one heck of a guy. He definitely had a talent for lifting up his Marines when they were down. He was never scared to give us all a good laugh even if the laugh centered around him. He loved the Marine Corp and it showed.
