I grew up in California and my Dad who grew up in St. Louis loved baseball and his hero, and my brother's was Stan the Man. We saw him play the SF Giants when I was young and I remember how much everyone loved and admired him. He was a true professional and a wonderful athlete. He's in heaven with my dad now!

An American hero with no blemishes. It was an honor to grow up during his great baseball career; but baseball was just a small part of his greatness. God bless him.

My love of baseball will always be associated with Stan the Man when my mom and aunt would take me to Sportsmans Park on ladies day and I would see my favorite player in action, Stan never disappointed his fans ever. Rest in Peace.

Janet, Joe and I were so sorry to hear about your dad. The world has lost a great dad, grandfather, and baseball player. God Bless your family.

This morning on my way to work, I stopped by to give my respects to "THE MAN" at his statue at Busch Stadium.
I placed a flag by the side of all the other tributes, looked up at his face and whispered, "I hope to meet you in heaven".
I gave him a thumbs up and went on my way.
R.I.P. Mr. Musial.

Rip Stan The Man. You will be greatly missed such a great person to represent St. Louis. Never got to see you play but I sure wish I did seeing your amazing stats. My dad made sure I knew who Stan the man was and I will never forget seeing you in St. Louis all those times. Rip #6. My condolences to all of his family and friends.
