Eugene Albert Michaud, Jr., 77
WESTBROOK – Eugene Albert Michaud, Jr., 77, of Westbrook and formerly of Caribou, passed away on June 15, 2015 after a long battle with ALS. He was born on March 28, 1938, a son of Eugene and Frances "Irene" (Burgess) Michaud, Sr. He grew up and attended school in Caribou.
Albert's first career was as a painter and drywaller. He later worked for many years for the Falmouth School Department as a bus driver. Albert had many joys and hobbies in his life, including; watching the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins, dancing and anything in the outdoors. He was known for his green thumb as he loved gardening and also enjoyed birdwatching.
Albert was predeceased by his parents; and his sisters Anita Wardwell and Barbara Kish; and his former wife; and mother to his four daughters Betty Lou Michaud. He is survived by his daughters, Terri Blenkhorn and her husband Frank, Sherri Michaud and her fiancé Chris O'Brien, Lisa Michaud and her fiancé Paul Martel, and Tracy Michaud; his five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; as well as his siblings; Violet Abrahamson, Judy Theriault, Peter Michaud, and twins Patricia Michaud and Patrick Michaud. He is also survived by his beloved baby dog, Tara.
Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland.
