Gloria Ann Crouch, 62
NAPLES -- Gloria Crouch, 62, of Naples, died on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010.
She was born in Portland, on Jan. 4, 1948, the daughter of Chester and Agnes (Hall) Tracy. She attended Portland schools. After her father passed her mother and her uncle Rufus provided the remainder of her childhood care with much love.
Gloria was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who waited until after her kids grew up to start her career to work outside the home. She took pride in all the 'jobs' she did from her two most important jobs, mom, grandmother to CNC, operator to the final job she held as health care worker at the Casco Inn in Casco.
Gloria was a wonderful wife and mother and most of all loved her grandchildren. Her home was always open no matter what time of the day, for her kids, grandchildren and all of her children's friends that she enjoyed and adored. Her daughter Crystal was told that her mother had an amazing sense of humor. Gloria had a sense of humor like no other, very dry and flip, but always relevant and understood. She was loved for that 'sense of humor.'
She wasn't one to take time for herself. She loved taking care of her family and friends and all the kids that came into her life and heart. She loved traveling to Florida, playing Bingo, was known for her knitting, crafts and the grandkids will miss the mittens she made every year for them.
Gloria is survived by her five children and their dad, John Crouch, of South Paris. Her daughters include Pamela and Michael Redfield of Portland, Gloria and Michael Sawyer of Windham, Crystal Griffin and her partner Trevon Juline of Portland, and sons John Crouch III of South Paris, and Shawn Crouch and his life partner Laura of Naples. Gloria is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony Redfield, Michael Redfield, Jason Wallingingford, Christopher Foster, Allison Sawyer, Crystal Redfield, Kayla Crouch, Allan Griffin, Morgan Redfield, Shawn Crouch, Joshua Sawyer and Kyle Crouch; sister and brothers, Agnes Gallant, Caroline Tracy, Robert Tracy, Lenard Tracy and Leland Tracy; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, William Crouch.
Services will be held at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham, on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. She will have a private burial immediately following at the family site located at Sawyer Cemetery in Warren. For online condolences, please visit our website at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com.
