As my dear friend and brother in Christ agonizes over Thomas' death, I want everyone to know that we ALL must continue to look for the light inside us that Thomas always talked about and always painted. Sometimes in our darkest times, there still remains a light, even if it is just a glimmer, hold on to that little glimmer of light! It help you find your way. Reach out to others in need, never be afraid to be a friend to someone else. You never know for what reason you were brought into someone else's life. To Thomas' family, you know those to whom you can turn. Turn and find warm arms open to comfort you. Those who truly knew him and truly loved him KNOW his deep capacity to love, his capacity to care about others and his capacity to want to make the lives of others better. We grieve with you but know that each of you are being prayed for individually and collectively for God to give you peace that comes from knowing a life with Jesus Christ. None of us knows the day or hour we are to depart this realm so make the most of every second of every minute of every day! To those who only experienced Thomas through his paintings, let that be your inspiration to BE that glimmer of light to someone else. That's the best way we can honor the memory of Thomas Kinkade. Make a difference in this life. Paint someone's life with a little light!
