I met Ms. Roddenberry at a science fiction convention in Aurora, Colorado where she was appearing. She was very popular with the fans and was a complete joy to be with. I was on the Aurora Police Department at the time and was providing security at the STARCON. I found her interaction with fans refreshing . After she completed her part of the show on stage, answering questions from attendees, she would go into the hallway where a desk was set up and she would answer questions and sign autographs non stop. She told the crowd that the reason she got the job as the nurse on STAR TREK was that she slept with the producer, which always got a laugh out of the crowd. She was very unassuming and loved to talk to her fans.
I enjoyed being with her at the conventions.

Being a fan since the beginning I have always love Majel I met her several times. Warm and kind she always had time to talk to fans she knew we loved her and she let us know it by loving us in return.

Star Trek will always be the reminder of that love and the message Gene wanted us all to hear is still as important today as it was 43 years ago.

Rest in peace dear lady our hearts go with you and Gene you will never be forgotten so long as we remember.

I met Majel at the University of Miami in the early 1950's.
Her name back then was Majel Hudec. She was very
exotic looking and I was fascinsted by her name. I often
wondered what had happened to her. When her husband
died and I read his obituary, his widow was referred to as
the former Majel Hudec. I was absolutely certain she was
the same person I had met years ago. I thought how
fitting that she should have wound up married to such an
interesting man.

May she boldly go hand in hand with Gene into the vast universe that he so loved. Godspeed in 2009 when you are both sent into space to dwell among the stars.

Majel Barrett Roddenberry will allways be in our hearts, as living memory of the greatest myth of the 20th Century: the 23th Century and beyond StzarFleet. A better world, a more human world, humanity's greatest dream, is what Majel leaves us, to cherish, and make it grow. May you rest in Peace, Majel!!!

Star Trek has always been a big part of my life and I think of the actors as a family. We have lost a member of that family with your passing, but our lives will be forever better since you were a part of them. You have been immortalized forever through the power of reruns and DVD's. We can still thrill to the adventures of Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi and the Enterprise computer to our hearts content. But we will miss you! Your sharp wit and heartwarming stories made many a convention a memorable event.

You were and always will be a consummate professional. From what I understand, you took many of the younger actors under wing and helped them stay balanced. To me, a man in the backwaters of Utah, it was nice to hear that you were truly an incredibly generous and nurturing presence in so many lives. Live long and prosper in the next step in our immortality.

All the best to your family
God Bless all of you
