Listening to Beano Cook talk about college football was often more entertaining than the games themselves.

I remember meeting Beano in the late 80's. What a character! God Bless.
An all round good guy and friend. Rest in peace Columbo. Cliff Dube' (Janney Montgomtery Scott).
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Beano Cook touched many lives. May the God of tender mercies be with Mr. Cook's family during this difficult time.
Condolences. In a world of growing standardization, Beano was unique. Had the opportunity to talk with him twice, once in a bar and once in the fitting room area at Brooks Brothers. A genuine, and funny person. Congratulations on a wonderful life. Tim Fedele
The first time I saw Beano was in Pitt wrestling practice, in 1957. Here comes this big pudgy guy in a Pitt sweat suit screaming that he wanted a piece of Tom Alberts (Pitt's 177 lb. NCAA Champion).
It was over in 5 seconds, but I'll never forget that powerful impression Beano made on me.
I got to meet Beano, while working the Pirate games..R.I.P. Beano.
