Nancy E. Harshbarger
SHELBY: Nancy E. Harshbarger, age 76, of Shelby, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013.
Nancy was born on May 24, 1937 in Ashtabula, Ohio to the late Rev. Dr. Stanley J. and Eleanor (Gavin) Shoemaker.
Nancy was the secretary at Dowds Elementary School in Shelby for 20 years, retiring in 1997. On August 31, 1957 Nancy married David B. Harshbarger and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Jill A. (Ray) Ryan of Cazenovia, NY, Julie (Ken) Swanger-Ensman of Shelby; four grandchildren; a great granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; a sister: Cynthia (Lynn) Wright of Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law: John W. Swanger.
Friends and family are welcome on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 5-7 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 7 PM with Rev. Tom Snyder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church in Shelby or Hospice of North Central Ohio.

We are so very sorry for the loss of Nancy. She was a joy to visit at Crestwood and was always ready with a wave and a smile as we walked by her room. She will be missed by many.
