Philip J. Overholt
LEXINGTON: Philip J. Overholt, 58, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
Philip was born on May 26, 1955, in LaGrange, IN, to Homer and Ima (Hershberger) Overholt. He worked at MedCentral Hospital as a respiratory therapist, and then later as a manager. Philip's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, and he loved being a dad and grandpa. He also loved collecting antiques, cooking, and traveling.
Philip is survived by his wife, Julie (Daniels) Overholt; three children, Lyanna (Shane) Hudson of Lexington, Jessica (Tyler) Burkhart of Bowling Green, and Seth Overholt at home; two grandchildren, Baylee and Ayden Hudson; and three siblings, Diane Fisher of South Bend, IN, Patricia (Ervin) Yoder of Berlin, and Anthony (Suzanna) Overholt of Indianapolis, IN.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Dee Fisher.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
